Vet Ethology processes your personal data, being data that can lead to the identification of your person, in the context of his/her activities. Through our privacy policy, we let you know what data we process when you use our website or when you have an agreement as a customer or supplier with Vet Ethology.
Your personal data will be protected and processed in accordance with The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), in Dutch Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG) nr. 2016/679 of the European Parliament, which came into force on 24 May 2016 and applies from 25 May 2018 at the latest.
This privacy policy applies to the website https://vetethology.be.
Vet Ethology is not responsible for the privacy policies of other sites and sources.
2. What personal data is collected and stored?
The following personal data are processed:
- General personal information such as: name, first name, e-mail address, telephone number, address details, other data you have provided yourself to Vet Ethology in the context of an agreement (date of birth, gender, bank account number, company name, VAT number...)
- Information to enable a purchase, reservation or quotation request and thus process it for the proper performance of our agreement and related services (transactions and payment info, shipping information, reservation date...)
- Information we may receive in the context of satisfaction surveys, complaints or other communications you have addressed to us
- Information entrusted with the client's prior consent to announce, present or explain realisations, projects or other elements
Data resulting from one or more visits to our website are stored in Google Analytics, but always anonymously. This data can never be traced back to a single person or organisation.
3. Why are these personal data processed and what is the basis for processing?
All personal data collected and processed by Vet Ethology are necessary
- for the performance of our agreements to comply with legal obligations,
- to inform you and for additional communication and thus answer your questions via our website or by telephone
- to be able to contact you, if necessary, in writing or by telephone for follow-up purposes
- for marketing purposes such as sending newsletters or participation in competitions, always with prior consent and for which you can withdraw your consent at any time
- for the general management of your account on our website
- for processing your payments

Personal data is collected on the basis of voluntary completion and communication by the customer himself. This occurs
- via personal contact using Vet Ethology's address details, telephone details or e-mail
- via the forms and the fields provided on the website, such as: contact form, reservation form, quotation request form, order form, profile or account with login, shopping basket.

5. Access, duration and retention of data collected
Your personal data will be kept as long as strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which your data was collected, in line with the legal, regulatory and internal requirements in this regard.
Your data will be processed exclusively for and by Vet Ethology. This information will not be disclosed to third parties, except for the performance of services or delivery of products necessary or with prior consent.
For the technical processing of your data and the associated support, for example in the case of electronic CRM software, processing by transport companies (bpost/dpd/My Parcel), processing through online payment providers (Mollie/MultisafePay/Paypal...) or accounting packages (Yuki/silverfin/...), such bodies are granted exclusive and temporary access to your data. These third parties act within the strict limits of our instructions and are obliged to also always act in accordance with GDPR for processing this data. Thus, we guarantee the security and confidentiality of your data.
6. Security of your data?
Your personal data will always be treated confidentially. We take additional organisational measures to ensure the security of your personal data as much as possible.
The data collected by Vet Ethology through the website are secured using the following measures:
- security via https:// (websites equipped with an SSL certificate),
- security via unique login with e-mail address and password of the CMS system, software programme, accounting package,...
- anti-virus protection on the electronic devices used
Additional measures that are also possible are extra security ahv 2-step verification or via an authenticator app.
7. Your rights regarding the processing of personal data:
Right to access, correct or supplement your personal data: you can always request access to your personal data as well as obtain confirmation as to whether or not your personal data are being processed. You will be given access to the data upon simple written request.
Right to be forgotten: You retain the right to have some or all of your personal data deleted.
Right to data portability: In certain circumstances, you may obtain the right to obtain or transfer your personal data to another controller.
You can oppose the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes at any time.
In addition, you also have the right to request the revocation of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data.
